I want to work around the idea that abstract painting has its own way of being physical. The minimal statement What you see is what there is is an obvious concrete vision of life. It provides the possibility to explore relations and tensions between forms, colours, time and space, without reference to images. Sometimes I don’t think and I’m able to discover the happiness with new colors, materiality and temporality. Since a year I introduced old pictures in my work. This is a new deal I’m working on : Minimal Art with a taste of nostalgia. It is a sensitive way of exploring abstraction and to find new ways to paint. What I really want is to conceal the surface, to break down the status quo. So I work on the idea that paint is everywhere.
